Ninety Nine reasons to tune in...

Laura from Ninety Nine will be in the studio this week. They feature in a unique Wireless Records line up at the Public Office on Saturday September 17.

The kids from The Winter Ship will also be in for a chat ahead of their CD launch at the Northcote Social Club on Thursday September 15. They are definitely among the top live performances from Tyranny Of Distance in the past year. It's difficult not to liken their sound to the Dirty Three, but they have an endearing tenderness throughout. The new EP is adorable; listen in to hear it.

Wireless Records Presents: Crash!
featuring Ninety Nine + Love Of Diagrams + Radiant City + Group Seizure + Light The Night Sky
Saturday 17th September @ The Public Office 100 Adderly St, West Melbourne

Come along and witness this inaugural event, featuring the rock stylings of Ninety Nine, with their tuned percussion and layerings of Casio keyboards, the musical naiveté and experimentation of Love Of Diagrams, the haunting and dynamic sounds of post-rock outfit Radiant City, Group Seizure with their Guitar feedback, frenetic bass lines and synth noise and new comers Light The Night Sky, Formally known as q, combining alternative rock with electronica.

A Zillion Translations

Nick Craft was once in a band called Sidewinder. It's been some time since we've seen new stuff from him, and all though his new outfit The Zillions have been banging around for several years, it has taken till now for the stinging EP The Zillions Play Zig Zag Zillionaire to emerge.

J Walker has been very very busy of late. He is the man behind Machine Translations but has also been spotted on a very many albums by artsists like Mike Noga, Richard Easton, Sime Nugent, Splendid, Clare Bowditch and many more besides. He's taken some time out to record a new Machine Translations release, the lovely Wolf On A String EP.

Hear both of these very talented men tell Jacqueline Dee all about their new releases and exactly what they have been doing recently on Monday September 5.

The Zillions play the Rob Roy on Thursday September 8.
Machine Translations play the Northcote Social Club on Saturday September 10.
